Arvest Foundation Contributes to Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville

Sooner Junior Miniature Golf will be receiving much-needed updates and improvements thanks to a $2,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced at the Downtown Kiwanis Club meeting in Bartlesville. Annah Fischer of Arvest Bank was on hand to present the check.

The funds will help the Kiwanis Club install new turf and make various improvements at the Sooner Junior course.

“Sooner Junior has been a staple in family entertainment for over 30 years,” said Rachelle Wilson, president-elect, Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville. “Thanks to the Arvest Foundation, we can continue to maintain and improve this wonderful community facility.”

“The Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville is extremely grateful for our continued partnership with Arvest. The generous donation from the Arvest Foundation for the Sooner Junior Miniature Golf Course is just another examples of Arvest’s commitment to our community,” said Nathan Thompson, president, Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville.

Sooner Junior opened for its 2018 season on April 28. The course features 18 holes, and the funds raised from the course go to supporting local Kiwanis projects such as Kids Fishing Derby, scholarships and more.

This donation is just one of the many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our community.”

Arvest Foundation Contributes $10,000 to Bartlesville Community Center

The Bartlesville Community Center’s marquee will be getting much needed upgrades thanks in part to a $10,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced at the Bartlesville Community Center.  Andy Novak and Annah Fischer of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check.

Opened in January of 1982, the Bartlesville Community Center is recognized as one of the finest performing arts halls in the country. The Center has played host to an amazing array of events and is home to seven local presenting arts groups who perform their concerts and productions at the Center. They include Bartlesville Choral Society, Bartlesville Civic Ballet, Bartlesville Community Concert Association, Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra, Broadway in Bartlesville, Children’s Musical Theater, and OKM Musical Festival.

“The generous gift from Arvest Foundation and other local corporations has made it possible for us to update the Center marquee,” said Val Callaghan, managing director of Bartlesville Community Center. “The marquee project will not only benefit the Center but each local presenting art group who utilizes the Center for their performances. We plan to have the marquee updates complete in May.”

Bartlesville to Host Annual March Mania

Arvest Bank will host its annual March Mania on March 15-16.

The event will take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Arvest branch located at 4225 S.E. Adams. Customers are encouraged to drop by and watch locally broadcast NCAA Tournament games on big-screen TVs supplied courtesy of Steve’s TV. Snacks will be served.

Customers also are encouraged to fight local hunger by dropping off monetary donations or food items. All proceeds and food items will benefit Mary Martha Outreach.

Arvest Bank Adds Schoenthaler to Board of Directors

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Marty Schoenthaler has joined its local board of directors in Bartlesville.

Schoenthaler currently serves as CEO of Tate Boys Tire & Service. His previous professional roles included serving as vice president and chief information officer at Archer Daniels Midland, as well as senior leadership positions with ConocoPhillips and IBM.

“We are thrilled to add Marty to our board here in Bartlesville,” Arvest president Kyle Hubbard said. “In addition to his business acumen, his many ties – and years of service – to our community will be an invaluable asset for us here at Arvest. We couldn’t be more excited to have him join our team in this capacity.”

Schoenthaler also currently is a board member for both the Bartlesville Sports Commission and the Rogers State University Foundation. He earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and computer programming at Missouri Southern State University, then a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Arkansas.

Schoenthaler and his wife, Kim, have been married 33 years and most enjoy time spent with their children and grandchildren.

Arvest Bank Announces Musslewhite Hiring

Former Realtor Heavily Involved in Community

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Clint Musslewhite as its mortgage loan manager.

Musslewhite comes to Arvest from Keller Williams Realty, where he has worked for the last five-plus years since moving to Bartlesville. In his new role, Musslewhite will provide direction to Arvest Bartlesville’s mortgage division in addition to being responsible for the generation, evaluation, approval, processing, closing and servicing of real estate loans. He will be based at the Arvest branch located at 100 SE Frank Phillips Blvd.
“Clint comes to us with a very strong background in management, marketing and sales,” Arvest executive vice president and loan manager David Nickel said. “He will be a great addition to our already great mortgage team.”
While at Keller Williams Realty, Musslewhite provided leadership for many of the company’s community service initiatives, including local service projects and Bartlesville Public School District teacher tailgate events. Additionally, he currently serves as a board member for the Bartlesville Convention & Visitors Bureau, Bartlesville Civic Ballet and Ray of Hope Advocacy Center.
Prior to moving to Bartlesville, Musslewhite spent 15 years in marketing and operations roles for his alma mater, Baylor University, and two Minor League Baseball franchises. He also has done announcing work for the Tulsa 66ers, Tulsa Shock, Baylor University, Georgetown University and Texas Christian University.
Musslewhite and his wife, Stephanie, live in Bartlesville with their three children. In addition to serving as the emcee for numerous local charity events in the Bartlesville area, Musslewhite is the stadium announcer for the Bartlesville High School football team and occasionally the Tulsa Drillers.
